A special volunteer:

Ginny Howe

Ginny Howe a member of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, spends Wednesday afternoons helping out at the museum. Her service to the museum takes in just about anything that needs to be done. Whether it’s giving a tour to visitors, preparing newsletters for mailing, helping with the collections and displays, or getting ready for a special event - no matter what the task - She does it willingly and with a big smile!

Ginny’s schedule is a full one! It is filled with family and friends, church activities, visiting nursing homes, and much more, but she always keeps Wednesday afternoons free for the Lillian E. Jones Museum.

No matter what kind of day you’re having, it is bound to brighten up when you see Ginny at the museum! She work tirelessly to promote the good name of the Lillian E. Jones Museum, and we appreciate her and all that she does for the museum - we are fortunate to have such a special lady as our faithful volunteer! Thank you Ginny for all you've done.

A big thanks to our weekly volunteers

Carriage House volunteers:

Wilbur and Carolyn McCormick have volunteered countless hours of work in the research center preparing the computer systems, internet sites, compiling data, etc. Their help has been invaluable in getting the genealogy center running Thank you, we all appreciate you!

We also appreciate the help of Bob Ervin, Jackson's historian. He opens the center for appointments and helps us with research and Jackson history.

Barbara Scott, an RSVP volunteer, opens the Carriage House weekly on Wednesday afternoon. When she's not helping someone do research, she enters information in our newspaper genealogy database.

Special Thanks

A special thanks to the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) members who have been giving of their time to help out the museum. Also, thanks to all the businesses and other members of the community who have supported the museum. They help us during school group visits, special events, etc. Thank You!
